Mel and Doris Maxwell, our founders, started Blue Buoy with one purpose in mind: To Teach Each and Every Child How to Swim! At a time when most so-called experts claimed that children under 5 could not learn how to swim, they systematically developed techniques to benefit children of ALL ages. Since Blue Buoy was established in 1956, we have trained our instructors in time-proven methods as well as the latest developments in swimming instruction--many of which we have, and continue to develop here at Blue Buoy. |
